The problem

The plan and the documents usually live apart.

Most APQP tracking is a spreadsheet with a row per deliverable and a column per phase. It works, right up to the point where someone asks whether the control plan in the tracker is the same revision as the control plan in the folder. The tracker knows a date. It does not know the document.

Treating the plan as a project that owns its deliverables closes that gap. An activity is not a row that says "control plan — done"; it is attached to the control plan, at a revision, with the approval that released it.

A project belongs to a part and a customer, so everything it produces is already scoped to the thing being launched.

What is APQP?

Advanced Product Quality Planning is a structured way of planning a new part into production before it is made. It breaks the launch into phases — planning, design, process design, validation, and feedback — and asks for specific quality deliverables at each one, so problems are found on paper rather than in a shipment.

Does EasyQualityFlow follow the standard APQP phases?

Yes. Projects are structured by phase with activities underneath, matching the standard planning sequence. What the software provides is the workflow and the connection to the documents; the reference manuals themselves are licensed to you and are not distributed with the product.

Can APQP activities be linked to the documents they produce?

That is the main reason to run APQP inside the platform rather than a spreadsheet. An activity references the actual document — the process flow, the PFMEA, the control plan — at a specific revision, so "complete" means a released document exists, not that a cell was coloured green.

Can we track more than one launch at a time?

Yes. Projects are independent records, each scoped to its own part and customer.
